Cobra Kai / Camp Humphreys Jiu Jitsu
We are an IBJJF and AJP recognized all-volunteer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team at Camp Humphreys, Korea. Our members consist of Soldiers, dependents, contractors and Korean nationals. We welcome everyone from beginners to experienced practitioners. Classes are taught exclusively by our senior members until we PCS and appoint new instructors. Gi is not required but is recommended. Just show up during normal class time to get more information.

Please ensure you have registered for 24hr access at Zoeckler Gym (during staffed hours at the gym) as this is the only way into the facility during this time period.
There are many additional training opportunities during the week and weekend as well, be sure to request an addition to our Facebook page and Messenger group chat for real-time updates on classes, open mats, changes, etc...
Current Instructors
J. Chase Richardson (PCSed)
Chase Richardson is a Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Professor Fabiana Borges. His home school is Gracie Barra San Antonio. He has been training for over a decade at various schools, but found a home in Gracie Barra at purple belt. He has a passion for sharing the knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu, and has been doing this free of charge for over 2.5 years as the senior instructor for the all-volunteer Jiu-Jitsu program at Camp Humphreys. Chase is a Captain in the US Army and works as a Physician Assistant.
Dave Frizzell (PCSed)
Dave has been practicing martial arts his entire life. He holds black belts in traditional karate systems, a black belt in Japanese Jujitsu, and a brown belt in Judo. Dave's real passion is Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and he is a black belt under Professor Jesse Briggs. He enjoys competing, teaching and sharing his passion for the art. CSM Frizzel stayed with us for a year and his legacy continues to be felt in Cobra Kai Jiu-Jitsu.
Joseph Bunting (PCSed)
Joe Bunting is a Carlson Gracie (Lakeland) Jiu Jitsu black Belt under Professor Rafa Santos. He has been training since 2000 (over 20 years). His roots started as a kid around the age of 16 with Master Relson Gracie. Over his time in the military, he has trained at many different schools around the world. Some of the affiliations are Straight Blast Gym to Carlson Gracie Jr. He found a home with professor Rafa and continues to train at his school when not out of the country for work. He is a IBJJF competitor with multiple podium finishes as a black belt (GI and NO GI). Joe is currently stationed in Korea as a Military Policeman Platoon Sergeant and a Sergeant First Class in the US Army.
Brandon Mason (PCSed)
Brandon Mason is an Alliance Brown Belt under Professor Felipe Bueno. His original school is Method MMA in Forest Hill, MD a Combat Base affiliate. He spent most of his early BJJ years at the school before earning his purple belt and moving to Nuremberg, Germany to train under Alliance. He has been training BJJ for over 10 years. Brandon works as a DAC employee for DPTMS USAG Humphreys.
